it was pretty good greg problem got to go to 6flags with rowley. The meltdown was the best book I read in this series Jeff is a AWESOME!person to do this book.Manny is just DUMB!DUMB DUMB!!!!!but this book was still a really good book!!!
Fun book that reminded me of good (and bad) memories from middle school. The combination of text (which is made to look handwritten) and pictures makes this an easy read, especially for younger kids who might be hesitant about reading a seemingly long novel. Plus, I'm sure it will be deeply appreciated for kids currently enjoying/trying to survive middle school.
This is a really good book. I think people should read it. I can relate to the main character and so could anyone that has ever been bullied. This book is good for 8 to 12 year olds.
The First book in the series. dosen't have a name. Just titled "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." There has been a movie based on this. Speaking of which, there are rumors that the are coming out with The Ugly Truth (Book 5) as a movie, And they are bringing back Zachery Gordon, the original Greg Heffley Actor. Lightning McQueen is going to be in the movie too! (Okay, I made that last part up.)
Diary of a Wimpy Kid lacks a compelling plot and significant character development. Despite this, it is still a great choice for reluctant readers! The humor and graphic novel-style illustrations will appeal to those who are uninterested in traditional fiction.
for all those who haven't read this book, i'll summarize. Greg is an arrogant and clueless kid who thinks he's the best, his brother Rodrick is a punk, his little brother Manny is a spoiled child, his mom is a education freak, and his dad is always pushing them to do their best and stuff and Greg's friend is pretty much a little child.
Greg Heffley writes about his middle school experiences. This book, written like a diary, is both entertaining and humorous.
Fun-loving and incredibly amazing as we go through the future! :)
It is so funny! - Esmeralda, age 10
I like how his dad was trying to get him to toughen up! - Shylah, age 10
I think this is a very good book because it's really enthusiastic and it really explains my life. Miay, age 10
It is funny that Greg is in middle school and I am going. I like the part when he gets ideas like when Greg decided to make a box filled with old stuff. Santiago, age 10.
I like this book because it is about a sixth grade boy and he gets in all kinds of trouble and also has a crush on this girl named Holly Hills. The boys name is Greg and he has to go through the years of middle school sitting near some morons for the rest of the year. His brother Rodrick is a very bad example and said that he is going to kill Greg for being in his room. - Destiny Isabella
This book was really funny. It made it easier to read with some funny pictures. I like it because there is always on adversity and Greg finds a way to solve it. - Heedoya, age. 12.
I wish there would be ANOTHER book about Greg Heffley. I"ve seen the movie already its really funny
Suggested to me by a 6th grader, I decided to see what all the fuss about this book was about. I was not disappointed! This was such a fun book to read while traveling! It was funny, easy to read, and I finished it in the length of one airplane ride.
I like the character Greg because he is funny. Review by Koen D.A.
This series is one of the most often requested from children at our branch and I wanted to see why it is so beloved. It’s quick-paced, written in bite-sized journal entries with frequent comic illustrations that together tell the story of Greg’s year. He is a mischievous middle school-aged kid and the book reminded me of Calvin and Hobbes comics. Most of Greg’s stories revolve around his plans to increase his social standing and they all go wrong in funny and ironic ways. I cringed in a few places, like a reference to “hot girls,” but think readers should understand that Greg’s bad behavior is not to be emulated.
I started reading the Diary of Wimpy kid graphic novels in grade 3 and they still are hilarious 4 years later! I especially like Diary of a Wimpy kid 1 and 2. They are about a boy named Greg Heffley who is going through the ups and hilarious downs of middle school. I highly recommend this read to brighten up your day and make you laugh out loud!
It is a really good book and I love diary of a wimpy kid book series because they are interesting and funny.
This book is about a kid named Greg Hefley. He writes about his life and stuff he likes and stuff he doesn't like. He writes in his diary, so it's like you're reading his diary in the story. It's about his family and school.
The first problem is that he wants to be a baby again. He pretends that he's in his mom's stomach again by getting in the bathtub and filling it with bubbles. He also complains that his four year old brother gets all the love and that he draws pictures and sells them for ten dollars.
I really liked this book. I recommend it because I liked how there were lots of ups and downs and how Greg tells about his life.
