Frozen isn't your typical Disney movie, it's a start to a new era of Disney princesses. Princesses who are strong and not afraid to take risks. I enjoyed watching this movie because of the great animation, soundtrack and the messages it provides. It will make you laugh, sing and even cry! It's a great movie for all ages. The one thing I would criticize is that there are some really boring scenes that you just want to skip. Overall, this was a pretty good movie!

The copy I got no Blu-Ray disc (noted on case) and a very worn DVD disc. Not pleased - we wanted to see this in hi-def.

Featuring fairy tale vistas of twilit snowflakes and enchanted palaces, as well as some of the most amazingly nuanced performances to ever be wrung from animated characters, "Frozen" is truly one of Disney’s better cinematic achievements to date. A grand cartoon epic addressing issues of faith and empowerment that somehow manages to avoid all the tired clichés these productions usually engender: there are no bumbling lovestruck half-wits here (okay, maybe the snowman but he’s just too cute for words), the women ultimately find strength from within, and the abundant comic relief is more cerebral and less slapstick (though that too is handled very well). And the surprisingly catchy musical numbers would be right at home on any Broadway stage—which I suppose is already in the works.

Pretty impressive when it came out. The movie is still a bit of a treat to watch, but four and a half years later, it is starting to show its age in some places. Close-up, a lot of the characters really stick out and look obviously digital, against the supposedly equally digital background characters and scenery. It does feel a lot more like a musical compared to Tangled though.
There is an earlier comment about the movie having different halves before and after Let It Go. I think I agree. Also, certain characters make very drastic changes in mood. I get what Disney was trying to do with him, but it is a literal 180, with no forewarning as to his 'dark side' whatsoever.
Also, hire some new guards. The guards in the film turn on Elsa on a dime. They should know by now about her powers, and more than that, they are sworn to her and her family. Clearly they cannot be trusted and should be removed.

We are not a big fans of that movie. Didn't like the interpretation of the Anderson story. But I have to admit that it isn't easy to make a relatively positive movie out of this heavy tale.

Anna, a fearless optimist, sets off on an epic journey - teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven - to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. From the outside Anna's sister, Elsa looks poised, regal and reserved, but in reality, she lives in fear as she wrestles with a mighty secret-she was born with the power to create ice and snow. It's a beautiful ability, but also extremely dangerous. Haunted by the moment her magic nearly killed her younger sister Anna, Elsa has isolated herself, spending every waking minute trying to suppress her growing powers. Her mounting emotions trigger the magic, accidentally setting off an eternal winter that she can't stop. She fears she's becoming a monster and that no one, not even her sister, can help her.
