The night after another unsatisfactory New Year party, Tim's father tells his son that the men in his family have always had the ability to travel through time. Tim can't change history, but he can change what happens and has happened in his own life, so he decides to make his world a better place by getting a girlfriend. But as his unusual life progresses, Tim discovers that, in the end, making the most of life may not need time travel at all.

Rated 8/10. While I thought this movie started out a bit iffy, it definitely improved as it went along.

The portrayl of the relationship between father and son was good.

It puts a different twist of the idea of time travel, which was interesting.

Overall, a good movie.

Starts a little slow and quite cheesy, but as it gets going it has quite a few twists and really makes you contemplate aspects of life. I don't want to give too much away, but I highly recommend this. I will give a head's up that there was a view of Kate Moss' bare chest at one point, which we didn't prefer to see. Otherwise, all in all a great movie.

This was such a sweet and lovely movie. I don't like romance, but this love story is something special. With light comedy and a time travel twist, this is a movie I have enjoyed multiple times.

Touching, thoughtful, funny & sweet, what's not to love about this movie. Not sure why it didn't get noticed in the theatre, but certainly worth watching. Have a tissue handy, enjoy!!

Incredibly cute movie. Domhnall Gleeson is quickly moving up the ranks to my favorite actor.

I love time travel movies and figured it would be hard to make a new one differently. But this movie was wonderful, fabulous cast, great music, it made me laugh and cry. I watched it twice after viewing the director's thoughts. It would not surprise me if it makes it to the Christmas list of movies, because the themes about love, life, and purpose are so true.

This is one of my favourite movies! A cast full of stars, and it makes me cry every time. I highly recommend this if you love romance.

It starts off slow, but builds up to a charming and touching story about love, family, and life.

About Time is a feel-good movie about how great it would be if we got a second chance at everything. Or a third chance. The focus is on personal relationships; when, after meeting and conversing with a potential significant other, you discover you had a piece of lettuce stuck between your teeth (which may explain why she kept avoiding eye contact), wouldn't it be great to be able to wind back the clock, remove the lettuce and do it over? It is a bit like Groundhog Day, except that our hero can time travel at will (within limits) to remove the schlubby moments and substitute James Bondian moments. If I thought about it too much, I might conclude that this use of time travel is grossly unfair to the rest of us, but the movie focuses on how great it would be to remove misunderstandings and avoid self-destructive behavior. Hard to argue with that.

And in the end I think I've learned the final lesson from my travels in time; and I've even gone one step further than my father did: The truth is I now don't travel back at all, not even for the day, I just try to live every day as if I've deliberately come back to this one day, to enjoy it, as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life.

From IMDb:
Tim: We're all traveling through time together, every day of our lives. All we can do is do our best to relish this remarkable ride.

Tim: And in the end I think I've learned the final lesson from my travels in time; and I've even gone one step further than my father did: The truth is I now don't travel back at all, not even for the day, I just try to live every day as if I've deliberately come back to this one day, to enjoy it, as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life.
===
Tim: And so he told me his secret formula for happiness. Part one of the two part plan was that I should just get on with ordinary life, living it day by day, like anyone else.

Tim: But then came part two of Dad's plan. He told me to live every day again almost exactly the same. The first time with all the tensions and worries that stop us noticing how sweet the world can be, but the second time noticing. Okay, Dad. Let's give it a go.

Good movie. And Margo is the added attraction in this one. I don't think I would've turned it down.
