This book is beautiful. Simple, elegant, delicious recipes that transport you to the good life in France and Italy just by reading.

I'm adding the restaurant to my "NYC someday" list because of this charming cookbook. Along with disarmingly simple ideas like wrapping individual hard-boiled eggs in paper with a bit of salt--instant picnic!--are useful tips for home cooks and suggestions to expand the versatility of her recipes. The book itself is a tactile and visual delight and would make a lovely gift.
