"The Seventh Cross" is an unforgettable film. The story takes place in Germany as 7 prisoners of war break out of a prisoner of war camp. The movie itself is having its 70 Anniversary since coming out in 1944, If I had watched this movie that year I would have been so proud of these 7 courageous men. Spencer Tracy escapes the camp with six other prisoners. They are not safe anywhere in public and will need the assistance of ordinary citizens to shield them. As with "The Great Escape" the German's go to all lengths to find these men and make examples of them. I can't remember when I was so inspired by a movie as "The Seventh Cross". There should be a separate listing for Most Inspiring Movies of the Century"!
