Add a CommentThis was an adorable story, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Leila is dorky and relatable, and she makes mistakes that make her feel like a real person, not just a character. I found myself cheering for her successes and crying for her downfalls. The story is wonderful as well, full of dimensional characters that capture your heart. Leila tries to have a good relationship, come out to her parents, and figure herself out all at once. After going through some tough times, she gains self-confidence and luckily everything works out for her in the end. All in all, this was a wonderful read, and you should definitely give it a try!
I would give this 3.5 stars. It is a story of a girl who is coming out and coming to accept herself. It is full of typical high school drama and fun. It was a cute and easy read even though it contained some heavy topics such as coming out, family acceptance, and broken friendships.
My experience with lesbian teen romance novels is limited but this book held my interest long enough to follow it through to the end. I don't regret it either it was a beautiful read.
Fantastic! The main character is absolutely hilarious! A bit predictable and cheesy many times, but that is what makes it so wonderful! Please read it!
