A sincere documentary about a talented puppeteer and his accomplishments. I highly recommend this one if you want to learn about one of Sesame Street's veteran cast members and the process behind creating and performing one of television's most beloved characters.

Touching and a trip back to many of our childhoods. It was great to hear the story behind the man behind Big Bird.

Carroll Spinney is Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch. I love Sesame Street and the Muppets, so I was predisposed to liking this documentary. I think even those who are not familiar with Sesame Street will appreciate Spinney's talents and brilliance as well as his approach to life and his work. The film did a good job of trying to show the whole person, his sunny and dark days.

I laughed and I cried. This documentary is full of pure love for Big Bird and the man who brought him to life.

This was a really great video to watch. Being a puppeteer myself it's nice to know how other puppeteers got started and what they did/have done. The music is beautiful and a must to listen to and purchase.

This is a sweet documentary about the puppeteer who is responsible for the beloved Sesame Street character Big Bird. His life has been devoted to, and greatly enriched by his Muppet persona. I found it to be a deeply personal look at the man inside the suit, and the early years of Sesame Street.

Such a touching story about one of the most iconic children's characters in educational TV. Maybe I'm sentimental, but I don't think we'll ever need a documentary about Dora the Explorer or Spongebob. There is just something different about a talented artist pouring his heart and soul into his work, doing the job that he was born to do. I was teary-eyed quite a few times during this story! And I'm also glad that Caroll Spinney has an apprentice so Big Bird will hopefully live on for a long, long time.

Very enjoyable. Grew up in the 70's watching Seasame Street. Fun to see how Big Bird was born. My elementary aged kids enjoyed it as well.

A lovely portrait of Caroll Spinney, the man behind Big Bird, and Oscar the Grouch. An insightful look into the early days of Sesame Street, Spinney's career, and the opportunities afforded to him by playing one of the most loved children television characters of all time. A treasure to enjoy for those young at heart!

About 20-30 minutes too long and not really all that interesting. You start to think the world is insane after while, worshipping a big yellow bird.
