Content Inc presents a process to follow to build an audience around knowledge and then capitalize on the knowledge by monetizing the web site created to share the knowledge.

In an information economy, information is king. Even a great idea for a product still needs the knowledge of the product to be shared before it will be appreciated.

I worked in software sales for over 10 years, and one of the most common failings of the companies I worked for was that internally, we all "knew" our product was great. In our marketing and sales efforts, we often, to our detriment, focused on how great the product was without sufficiently addressing the problems our customers had, or the information our prospects were looking for.

The Content Inc. model leads the reader through the process to build the audience and create an appreciation for the knowledge shared.
