Add a CommentThe story is a little lacking and maybe tries to mimic a Casablanca style too much. The one thing that may have been close to truth was the occupation of China by Japan just before the United States entered WWII. The characters didn't bother me, but they did not exceed my expectations either. Neither did the story. OK film.
Real bummer, too much violence. Cusack a favorite but not in this one.
My sentiments exactly, jpozenel. An underwhelming neo-noir. Cusack was Cusack, he's pretty much always the same; and Li-Gong is a very attractive woman, but her awkward acting skills (in English) were 'lost in translation'.
The trailer looked much better than the actual movie.
