Add a CommentThis is a lovely story about a plucky Hen who wants to be a mother and goes on a great adventure to find eggs that have been abandoned. My 2.5 year old LOVED this story so much that I had to take it out again after returning. Highly recommended!
A charming story about a hen who adopts all kinds of hatchlings to raise as her own. When the time comes for her large family to leave the nest, she goes above and beyond to see that they make it in the world, but her children have a surprise for her in the end! A nice addition to preschool storytimes about Family, Mother's Day, Eggs, or Birthdays.
Great adventure with an intrepid wanna-be chicken mom. Kids will love Hattie, moms will be inspired by her and you may cry at the end of this one.
