" ' It was Paula Wagner who played a big role in helping to convince Tom to do TOP GUN. She had helped launch his career, and when we were getting the movie set up, Tom was certainly on the rise. She really understood him and what was best for him at the time. He wasn't a superstar then, but she knew, and so did we, that he was a talented actor.' " " Goldie Hawn: 'I always believe that the part goes to the right person and have never measured my success by what I got and what I didn't. You can't tell someone they have to use you.' " " ' IN TOM WE TRUST: Paula Wagner (right) started representing Tom Cruise when he was nineteen, and the two would eventually become producing partners and even run United Artists for a time. Cruise has been represented by CAA for more than thirty years.' " " ' WHAT AGENTS CAN DO: CAA booked clients Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart to pay tribute to Led Zeppelin with a career-boosting performance of STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN at the 35th Annual Kennedy Center Honors, Kennedy Center Concert Hall, Washington, D.C., December 2, 2012.' Money, Intelligence, Conscience, Ego, Revenge & Coercion.
Another day in Hollywood?
Describes "Young Turks" fired from then complacent morbid & inflexible William Morris to form their own one stop shopping talent Agency that transformed Hollywood & later Madison Avenue & the sports worlds. Executives have mixed reactions (simple proposal, high price). Not so clients wanting work.
Oh, it's a bit long with 500+ characters venting, praising to stating their views & 700+ pages.
However, it provided huge behind the scenes view in the entertainment industry.
