The three fates--Riata, Cait, and Smertae--have always been guiding and protecting Scotland unseen, indirectly controlling the line of kings according to the old religion. Even though this is a retelling of Macbeth from the perspective of the three witches, you in no way need to be a Shakespeare aficionado to appreciate it! On its own it is a well-told, gorgeously rendered story full of delightfully witchy atmosphere. I enjoyed every minute of it!

A fascinating look at Macbeth through the point of view of the three witches. We have names, we have a story, and we see what their motivations exactly were during this whole mess and how it became one. It's fantastic, well drawn, and all around awesome.
