I really enjoyed Knightly Dreams (3 stars), as is usual with Ms. Kenyon's work. However, I didn't think this was one of her stronger stories. The premise was interesting, but the pacing felt off and I never quite hooked into the characters. --
Shattered Dreams (4 stars) was really interesting. I liked the characters and and the story had some neat twists. Excellent pacing and exposition on the history of the characters and the hero's attempts to use and understand magic. This was definitely my favorite of the anthology. --
The Road of Adventure (2 stars) left me lukewarm at best. I barely dragged myself through 4 of the 7 chapters and finally gave up. I wanted to like the characters, but I couldn't get close to them. Boris was too annoying to be funny, Jake felt flat, and Shauna was even more flat. I just didn't care about them and stopped reading.
