Winkler was an emotionally beaten down morgue attendant, walked over by everyone including his mother and neurotic fiancee until turned into a buttinsky after fed up with his scheming night shift partner. Throughout the film, the anticipated hot-rodder comedian Fonz was MIA and only resurfaced near the end when confronted by the always around the corner 4-legger. Nonetheless, the deadpan soft spoken nebbish Winkler, the outrageous young Keaton, some nudity, an original tall tale, a murder etc. got me smiling, if not LOL, most of the time. Should appeal to most comedy fans.

Who else but Michael Keaton would think of running a prostitution ring from a morgue? Hilarious movie that Henry Winkler was starring in, and catapulted Michael into stardom. I even liked Shelly Long as the good hearted prostitute. The party at the morgue is a classic. Ron Howard did a great job on this movie.

Some good quotes in IMDb but surprised this one was not included:

I don’t want to be a buttinsky, but what exactly is going on?
-I don’t know. Some kind of debutant ball out on the island. Kid wants me to take him and his girlfriend.
And you’re going to take one of the morgue vehicles?
-It’s a limo, isn’t it?
It’s a limo for dead people.
-You see that, kid?
