This felt a lot like a transitional volume, as a lot of other people have said. I loved the characters and I love, love, loved the colour palettes. The soft pinks and purples, even the pastels of the alien creatures I adored. I still adore the girls and definitely want to pick up the next volume, but...

Time travelling plots are hard. They're hard not to be muddy, and this one felt muddy. When I compare this to Saga, also by Brian K. Vaughan (as they should be! stories deserve to have different tones and different storylines) but I know Vaughan can do so, so much better.

This volume didn't feel as strong, but neither did the first. I keep wanting to love this graphic novel series and every time I pick it up there's something missing, something I just can't name, something I'll know when see it.

I loved the back page for all the creators and how they'd used pictures of themselves from the 80's, their yearbook pictures with their favourite lego models and homeroom teachers. It feels cohesive as a whole project but the writing is just missing something, and I keep reading it in hopes I'll find it.

Who knows, maybe this series will improve and the girls will find their way home too.

Vol. 2 gets more interesting and the pieces start making a bit more sense, but there is still so much more to figure out. Can't wait to read the next volume.

The mystery is getting even more mysterious. Expect more questions than answers to come out of this volume. I can't wait to see where the series goes next!

I absolutely loved the first volume of this series. It was fun, had strong young girls as leads, and it was intriguing. This volume fell off the rails. What was intriguing, has become just confusing. I'm assuming the author, since it is BKV, is going somewhere with this. But the multiple timelines, characters, and villains just left me confused and bewildered. I wouldn't say I hated it by any means--I still like the main characters and they had some really good action and interaction again. But I'm glad I wasn't picking this up as a monthly series. I'd probably have given up on it. I'll stick it out for volume 3, but I hope it begins to make more sense or I'll probably drop this title.

Love it! Saw this novel was described as the girl version of Stranger Things and I was not disappointed.

There was a lot of build-up in this second volume but I like where Vaughan is going with all of the story threads. A compelling, action-packed story set in a fascinating alternate world that has an interesting concept of time and multiverses.
