This book about a blended family of ducks and a bear tackles the topic of healthy eating without overt didacticism or a focus on body size, so it's a great pick for young kids and caregivers looking for a picture book about the Health at Every Size philosophy. It's also just stinkin' cute, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good picture book.

With the help of his duck friends, bear learns to enjoy his vegetables (even though he prefers helpings of jam).

The watercolour painted endpapers of this picture book are beautiful! The front endpapers present a pantry full of jam jars, and the back endpapers display the empty jars of jam.
