As in another movie series "Ultraviolet", Ms. Jovovich plays a heroine when a biological warfare research gone wrong.

Released in 2002, this pilot does not have a big budget than later films, with a few imaginative cgi (laser grid) and actions relying on young but big name co-stars (Michelle Rodriguez, Jaymes Butler, James Purefoy) and set designs. The T-virus premise is original based on the Japanese video game Biohazard. Introduction of the heroine Alice (Milla Jovovich), zombies and other monsters created mainly by the Umbrella Corporation.

Disclosure: Not a zombie fan but enough side stories to keep my interest.

Easily one of the stupidest excuses for a movie I have ever had the misfortune of inflicting upon myself. Its only redeeming quality might be art direction. The craziest thing about this is that they made 5 sequels. FIVE! It boggles the mind...

I really enjoyed the movie, but then I smoked a joint with angel dust before the movie. Like I always do with movies like this. It takes you into the movie more, like being one the people who are fighting this computer, and the virus, which is one really strange virus I might add. The undead? I know some people like that.

I picked this movie because I knew my partner would not be upset that I watched this without them.

I knew it was not going to be a good movie, but it was worse than I expected. It was somewhat like watching someone else play a repatitive video game for two hours.

This a very poor attempt at entertainment

Overall an entertaining zombie film, it should be noted though that the next few films in the franchise are not quite as good as the first, in part because they don't have the Red Queen.

Nice start for the resident evil series, though the plot does not make sense at times.
