A page turner for sure!! I was still piecing it all together until the very last pages! A rather shocking and sudden end to it all, after an entire book of speculating and getting closer and closer to the real secret behind Daniel Tate's disappearance. I agree with the user below, this would make an exhilarating film.

Over the past couple years, I've read several adult and YA novels that feature this missing-or-kidnapped-child-returning-home plot device. (The quality of the novels varies widely). But Cristin Terrill's novel is the first one I recall being told from an imposter's point of view: The narrator isn't the titular Daniel Tate. Instead, he's a con artist who gets the idea (from a website) to take over the life of a missing child. I liked the first person narration, and Daniel Tate's family has secrets to protect. Nice pacing, well written. Might even be a good film.
