"In the midst of beauty and mess, chaos and monotony, celebrations and mourning, Jerusalem Greer tells her story of finding redemption in what is rather than what could be, by practicing the presence of God through rediscovering ancient contemplative teachings and practices (solitude, study, work, prayer, and service) and pairing them with domestic arts (baking, gardening, sewing)"--

Honestly, this book could probably receive a higher rating. I rated it 2/5 stars because I expected this to be more of a Christian self help book and it is actually fairly autobiographical. Sure, the author's life experiences add to the lessons she is trying to instill. Unfortunately, there were more personal stories that dragged on and on instead of advice on what to do as a Christian at a crossroads in life. Basically, this book would have been better if it was written in a general sense, instead of being a personal story. She is a mom with kids and husband having a crossroads about moving to a new house. I am single, 23, and struggling just to enter the adult life post college. I didn't relate to her at all, even though I tried to.....
