The Final Dossier is a fun extra addition to the franchise, but doesn't hold any new revelations or add much to the mythos of Twin Peaks. it's a quick read, and winds up being a nice little addendum for fans of the series, but is by no means required reading in order to gain a full picture of the Twin Peaks mystery.

Great & exciting book. I’d read this before watching the movie because it explains David Bowie’s role in Fire Walk With Me (I had no clue what was going there before reading this book). The log lady’s last words are another highlight along with the ending which sets up the new series very well.

Fills in the gaps and a few unanswered questions in-between season two and The Return that the third season did not address - including the fates of Annie Blackburn, Leo Johnson and Audrey Horne. Much better than the "Secret History" book, but don't expect any codas to the third season's cliffhanger finale.

This is a good follow up/ round up to Season 3, but as far as the books go I preferred " The Secret History of Twin Peaks ".

Anyone know if I should read this or The secret of twin peaks first?

A must read for all Twin Peaks fans, but not as good as The Secret History of Twin Peaks.
