"Grifter. Voodoo. Jenny Sparks. Zealot. The Engineer. These legendary antiheroes transformed the way superhero stories were told. Their return will rip apart the system once again. It all starts with Angela Spica, an engineer driven to the brink of death by the transhuman implants buried in her body. When she steps in to save the life of another, she will bring the storm down upon her, from the world's most lethal assassin to its most sprawling secret agency to the soldiers in its most ancient war. What mysteries bind these extraordinary individuals? What sinister forces threaten to tear them apart? What brave new universe will they forge from blood, brawn, brains and bullets?" --

The awesomeness continues in this second volume of the new Wild Storm universe. Pieces start to click together, more characters are introduced, and espionage vs. counter espionage is damped up in this volume. It's quick, it's funny, it's more violent, and it's brilliant. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite comic books ever. Without a doubt, it's the best thing I'm reading right now, and I'm reading a lot of good stuff. This is highly recommended!

I've been anxious to read this reimagining of the Stormwatch series, and it did not disapoint! Ellis does a great job of taking what he created 20 years ago, and reimagining it so that it's even better than the original, which is unbelievable. The story is quick but well paced--he takes the time to give you little bits of action interspersed with character developement and a building suspense. There is action, violence, suspense, humor, and lots of unexpected but delightful twists and turns all in this first volume. If you like comics at all you really need to read this groundbreaking book. Even with it being a reimagining, it's fresh and new yet classic and epic. This is a must read!

Very very good science fiction with some of the best action scenes currently in comics. Smart but extremely entertaining!
