Only made it through about 10 minutes. It just did not do it for us at all.

Actually, Dianne Kruger played Sonya in the American version of The Bridge set in El Paso and Juarez. Clemence Poesy was the French actress in the British/French version of The Bridge which was called The Tunnel rather than The Bridge.

Kind of silly and predictable. A beautiful French woman knocks out her husband and goes west, finds totally sexy Diego (Norman Reedus), falls in love, blah, blah, blah.

chriscoleman disclosed below how messed up is the film's premise that a gorgeous French woman (Kruger who played Sonya in the French-British "The Bridge" TV series and others) went off the reservation looking for her second act somewhere in rural California ... okay, it was also a character study of the woman and the biker, but uninspiring subject who chose the path she did. On the other hand, can see the appeal as a fantasy for some unhappy European housewives looking for escape far far away.

Terrible, terrible, terrible! More than misogynistic, it was extremely cruel to women. I would never recommend this film to anyone!!!!

This is a very odd film that plays like a home movie. A French couple visit a small town in what looks like Texas and he gets so drunk he tries raping her in the hotel room. She fights back and beats him over the head with the lamp, then takes the car and runs, assuming he is dead. Miles down the road, and I think in another state, she is pulled over as the car has been reported stolen. She has blood on her sleeve and assumes she's being arrested for murder, so she tells the Sheriff everything. He makes a few calls and verifies that she is the wife of the registered renter of the vehicle, who is very much alive, and lets her go. Instead of going back, she gets a ride with a motorcyclist with creepy died hair (silver beard, black hair? ew). I couldn't watch anymore. It is soooooo boring.

The hubby said some awful things in a bar to some strangers:

Well, she... she's my wife for 8 years. 8 years. I knew her when she was 24. I guess I, I love her. I love her, uh, so much I can give her what, what she wants. Money, good life, love, everything she wants. She doesn't want my dick. Doesn't want my dick anymore. It makes me crazy.
I'm broken like you said I was. I could light up a whole town with the... amount of ray in my gut. This is the payoff from... depleted uranium is... When it hits a target and you... you breathe it in... right here. It gets in your blood and your lungs. You fell for a guy that's gonna die.
You can't change what happened. It's all meant to be. But you've been given a beautiful, beautiful life to take on. ... It's going to be okay. That's why we gave you that name of Sky. Mochpia. You are always changing. The sky is always changing.
