My 3 1/2 year old loves this book. He laughs out loud every time we read it.

Add a CommentOne of my most favorite books to read out loud. So much expression in the lovely illustrations, and a funny little twist at the end.
One of my absolute favorite stories. Simple story line, easy text, lots of opportunity for reading with expression, and great illustrations all make this an amazing book to share with kids.
Growing up, this was one of my all-time favorite children's books. By the time I was five, I could tell the whole story, even if I couldn't actually read it yet. The illustrations are richly gorgeous. The story is fun and interactive, since the narrator is talking to the mouse.
Great illustrations makes this even more pleasurable to read.
The story is clever and adds some suspense to keep young kids interested.
