I picked this book up on a whim; it was on display as a new title. As an artist myself, I'm very into graphic novels and travelogues, but I'm REALLY frustrated that they ALL LOOK THE SAME!!! And worse, they all look like they were illustrated by the same, crappy computer program. Any that have been illustrated by actual human hands I can spot in an instant, and that's why this one jumped off the display for me. I enjoyed the REAL illustrations, and the mixing-in of photos and collage elements. The story though, left much to be desired. As it's own blurb will tell you, this book is a bit "disjointed", and the various story lines have little to unite them, other than that they're all the memories of one person. It's an OK book. I mildly recommend it, really mainly on the strength of the fact that the illustrations are unique, original, seem drawn by a human, and are in color.
