Short and very funny story of the artist moving in with his fiancee and her beloved cat (whom the author finds extremely creepy). Then (horrors!) a new kitten comes into the household. His unspoken rivalry with the cats for his fiancee's affections, and his eventual rivalry with his fiancee for the cats' fickle attention, is highly entertaining. The way he draws this mundane story in his horror-manga art style, making every reaction look super-dramatic, makes the story hilarious. The ending is a little weak, but the humor of the rest of the vignettes makes it well worthwhile.

Completely uninteresting. Perhaps suitable for a parent to read to their child?!

I'm a huge Junji Ito fan. Gyo, Uzumaki, Tomie, all sources of major nightmare fuel. This, in typical Junji fashion, has its insane moments, but there's something to say about one of the greatest horror manga artists who can make a story about his cats equally hilarious and relatable. I had more than a few laugh out loud moments and cringing at my own experiences identical to what's on the page. This is a great addition to the Ito collection.
