"Cinematic." -Teen Vogue "Funny and sweet." -Buzzfeed "Delightful, inspiring." -Book Riot Three starred reviews for this charming romantic comedy about an aspiring teen filmmaker who finds her voice and falls in love, from the New York Times bestselling author of When Dimple Met Rishi.Aspiring filmmaker and wallflower Twinkle Mehra has stories she wants to tell and universes she wants to explore, if only the world would listen. So when fellow film geek Sahil Roy approaches her to direct a movie for the upcoming Summer Festival, Twinkle is all over it. The chance to publicly showcase her voice as a director? Dream come true. The fact that it gets her closer to her longtime crush, Neil Roy-a.k.a. Sahil's twin brother? Dream come true x 2. When mystery man "N" begins emailing her, Twinkle is sure it's Neil, finally ready to begin their happily-ever-after. The only slightly inconvenient problem is that, in the course of movie-making, she's fallen madly in love with the irresistibly adorkable Sahil. Twinkle soon realizes that resistance is futile: The romance she's got is not the one she's scripted. But will it be enough? Told through the letters Twinkle writes to her favorite female filmmakers, From Twinkle, with Love navigates big truths about friendship, family, and the unexpected places love can find you.

I would rate the book From Twinkle, With Love by Sandhya Menon 4/5 stars. This book is about wallflower Twinkle Mehra. Twinkle is a filmmaker who plans to change the world with her movies. One day, a boy named Sahil Roy approaches her and asks her to direct a movie with him. Twinkle is more than thrilled for the project. While working together, the two begin to fall for each other, only there is one thing holding them back; Twinkle has a secret admirer emailing her, who she is sure is Neil Roy, Sahil’s twin brother. Through the letters Twinkle writes to her favourite female filmmakers, Twinkle tells a story about female empowerment, friendship, love and heartbreak. Overall, this book was wonderful and I recommend it for teens 12 years of age of older, especially fans of Morgan Matson’s “Since You’ve Been Gone.” @Dolphin05 of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

I LOVED this book. The characters were complex, interesting, and lovable. I was so invested, I felt a little ill when the characters were making questionable choices. Most of it had me laughing giddily and sincerely hoping for the best for all of the characters.

I liked this even more than last year’s When Dimple Met Rishi – Sandhya Menon excels at writing love interests who are swoony without being domineering jerks (in the parlance of the romance genre, I’d call them beta heroes), and this nicely balances a sort of coming-of-age story with a romance, and it was also satisfying to watch Twinkle realize the ways that she was maybe kinda being oblivious and hurtful, and learn to do better.

I liked this book. Took me back to high school when there were cliques and the not so popular people wanted to be in the popular group, some didn't care what people thought of them and some friends made new friends making you feel left out. Twinkle has some insecurities and has a hard time speaking up. She likes a boy but finds that she is attracted to that boy's twin brother. She makes some mistakes and she also corrects mistakes. She is a fun character. There are lessons in this story that would be good for a young adult to learn. I look forward to reading more by Sandhya Menon. Oh, and I adored Dadi. I want her as my grandma.

In a similar vein of "My So called bollywood Life", "From Twinkle, with Love" was full of great insight into NRI's and teen angst! FTWL is a bit faster paced with a focus in directing movies. I enjoyed the Colorado setting, too. Wish my high school days were this memorable!

A great little story where trying to stay true to yourself can be hard when you have a skewed perspective on things and yourself. Twinkle has a huge crush on Neil whereas Sahil, Neil's twin, has a huge crush on Twinkle, but then there's also movies, storytelling, trying to do documentaries, showing the truth, high school...... Just as lovely as When Dimple Met Rishi!

This was super fun and enjoyable, just as good as When Dimple met Rishi.
