A fun story with some great reminders about the importance of being kind and considerate. Perfect for kids going into kindergarten, but an entertaining read for just about anybody.

This book is not only hilarious but well written, clever and has a great message. Both parents and children will appreciate how this book takes a seemingly boring topic like biting is not ok and turns it into a funny and somewhat cheeky story about a young dinosaur who can't seem to stop herself from eating her classmates and then doesn't understand why she has no friends. It's a favourite in my house for all ages!

A pointed lesson about being nice to others coupled with great perspective (both in the sizes of the characters and in understanding how others feel). Though there is a strong lesson, young readers (and listeners) will love the humor inherent in a t-rex going to school in a class of human children.

This a beautifully illustrated book with a good message that was very highly rated (it is also the rare, sought after picture book that has so many holds and took me forever to check out). It just didn't resonate with the children I shared it with compared to "The Giant Jumperee" which they loved. Maybe it is more popular with boys.

This book is hilarious, but also has a great message. Penelope, the T-Rex, is in a class full of children and she has a tough controlling her appetite around them. By the end of the book she learns that is not fun to be a snack.

Sometimes you need a reminder as to why it isn't nice to do things to others. This is that cute reminder.

Very well done. Every illustration is adorable and fun, and the humor is just the right mix of almost-but-not-actually dark. Maybe there was a lesson in there but I was having too much fun to notice.

This. Book. Is. HILARIOUS! I love that the story subtly teaches diversity (we're all the same on the inside. Children are just tastier) as well as learning to get along. There are so many layers to this story. I highly recommend this, even to adults who'd like a good laugh!

Absolutely darling and fun. Love the bright illustrations. One of my favorite picture books of 2018.

An absolutely hilarious story of a little dinosaur who can't help eating her human classmates--and who can blame her since we're apparently so delicious. On top of it's great sense of humor, though, this book is excellent for teaching empathy, the Golden Rule, and maybe even the importance of impulse control.

Sometimes it's hard to make friends, said her dad. Especially if you eat them. You see, Penelope, children are the same as us on the inside. Just tastier.
