When Sarah meets Eddie, they connect instantly and fall in love. To Sarah, it seems as though her life has finally begun. And it's mutual: It's as though Eddie has been waiting for her, too. Sarah has never been so certain of anything. So when Eddie leaves for a long-booked vacation and promises to call from the airport, she has no cause to doubt him. But he doesn't call. Sarah's friends tell her to forget about him, but she can't. She knows something's happened--there must be an explanation. Minutes, days, weeks go by as Sarah becomes increasingly worried. But then she discovers she's right. There is a reason for Eddie's disappearance, and it's the one thing they didn't share with each other: the truth.

I feel that this book is misrepresented as a " thriller / mystery ". When two lonely people fall in love in 7 days and then the man "mysteriously" disappears, I expected some sinister forces at work... Wrong. We are also misled by Sarah's loss which has caused her to be isolated and depressed. This is simply a misleadingly advertised romance novel. Disappointing for me. Kristi & Abby Tabby

Ck out if like JoJo. Mixed reviews.

I agree with other comments that romance should be the main genre for this book, with suspense and mystery being secondary. The book intrigues you with the idea of a man suddenly up and disappearing, but the "twists" are not very surprising and the final ending is just a predictable and slow happily-ever-after. When I was reading, I kept thinking it would make a perfectly fine Lifetime movie, but not much more. For me, this was just meh.

I really don't think this book was marketed well or correctly. To me, it was a fairly straight forward romance with some mystery elements. I think if some people went into it with different expectations, the reviews would reflect that. I had no idea what to expect and had put off reading it because of the mixed reviews. In spite of that, I ended up loving nearly everything about the book. I read and listened to the story interchangeably and the audio was fantastic. It was a hard book to put down due to the need for answers after a number of fascinating twists. In fact, the author kept me in a state of light suspense for most of the book. Altogether, I enjoyed the creative writing style and I was highly entertained throughout.

This young author seems to think everyone is interested in every thought the main character has. Like many of her generation she goes on and on and on about so little. Some editing to reduce might have made this readable to me.

LOVED IT!!! Best book I've read this year!

This book disappointed me with every twist. Hot steamy romance? Nope. Dark mystery? Nope. Funny madcap adventure? Nope again. It was heavy and depressing and the only interesting semi-fleshed out character was her friend's kid with no mute button. Plus there are so many twists after a while I was like, "nope, not gonna get me this time, book!" But for all the twists the ending suffered from a real lack of imagination. I was not at all impressed.

This was an enjoyable, engaging quick read in the romance/ mystery genre. The book is well written with engaging, likeable and believable protagonists and other supporting characters. The twists in the plot are well written, with everything you have assumed turned on it's head.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, and the plot twists were skillfully handled. Some of the details, however, made no sense, such as the way people in the community responded to Sarah and her family after the accident, and the details of how Sarah lost Hannah.

I enjoyed this book. I felt Sarah was a little nuts to spend so much time looking for a guy she knew only a week, but she had reason to keep looking and as the story plays out, there are two plot twists to the story…the last one I never way coming.
