Overall, this book is both good and not so super good. For one thing, I love the fact that the author wanted to shine a good and encouraging light on children who face epilepsy and seizures everyday, but I'm not sure about how that was portrayed. Meena is a really nice girl who loves to make art and have fun just like any other kid in the world-clearly a message the author wanted to send. Everything up until Meena's first seizure was absolutely spotless. After the event occurred, however, it felt like Meena got defensive in a way that an older person might have. This was kind of weird for me because, as a kid, I don't remember acting or seeing another kid act that way. In other words, it felt like there was an extreme change of character, which identified to me as more "adult" than "child-like". Anyway, aside from all that confusion I enjoyed the story. It was really special how Meena and her family began to deal with her condition and I thought that the friend-to-friend resolution with Sofia was cute. Definitely a good read for those in need of a lift in their spirits. ;D
