Choice for June 2020 - This beautiful and emotional memoir explores Maia's life growing up different as e tries to figure out eir gender identity and sexuality.
Kobabe (who uses e/em/eir pronouns) wrote this graphic novel autobiography as a way to explain to eir family what it meant to be nonbinary and asexual, but instead created a cathartic and honest look at eir journey to discovering eir own identity.
Though this is part of our general graphic novel collection, rather than specifically the TEEN collection, it is recommended for teen readers by the Texas Library Association and School Library Journal.
