Very informative of a prehistoric creature. David Attenborough did a good job at telling us about the Ichthyosaur. A creature that probably most of never heard of.

Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier is a historical fiction novel about the discovery of the first Ichthyosaur fossils. It may be of interest.

Hosted by British broadcaster and natural historian, David Attenborough - "Sea Dragon" is really quite an interesting documentary that focuses its attention in on the fascinating discovery of a 200-million-year-old fossil belonging to the prehistoric sea-creature known as "Ichthyosaur" (which was recently uncovered just off the coast of England).

This educational, 1-hour presentation not only goes to great lengths to show the viewer what this awesome creature would actually look like with all of its skin on - But, it also gives one a good idea of this beast's ferocious eating habits and its fierce dominance of the sea, as well.

In this intriguing "Prehistoric Monsters" documentary from the PBS Network we join up with British paleontologist, Chris Moore as he travels to the Jurassic Coast (just off Dorset, England) to uncover the fossil remains of a 200-million-year-old sea dragon of humongous proportions.

Through meticulous scanning procedures and state-of-the-art CGI reconstruction, we see (presented before our eyes) a truly awesome image of one of the mightiest and most ferocious predators to ever rule the sea.
