Stephan Ambrose is probably my favorite writer of WW2 books as well as American history.

I never get disappointed in reading his and this book is the start of the front line forces landing at Normandy and beyond. Just like the movie Band series Band of brothers.

Great read.

history from the viewpoint of those who were there, good way to understand why war is hell and also sometimes funny
