Add a CommentPhilip K. Dick's stock has risen considerably since his death in 1982 and, while many of his early sci-fi books were published as cheap paperbacks with lurid covers, he's now part of the Library of America and many of his novels have been reissued in handsome trade editions. The man was prolific and once you get past the famous titles, it can be a little hit or miss, but I will say that even his mediocre books have something interesting for the Dick fan. "Counter-Clock World" is from 1967 and has something of the detective feel of "Do Androids Dream" and "Flow My Tears," while dealing with perennial Dick themes like time, existence, death, and God. Recommended!
