I saw Bunny Lake years ago and loved it. Just saw it again and still loved it, although with a few minor reservations. It has a very Hitchcockian story - a bit like The Lady Vanishes. Where is Bunny? Why would anyone take Bunny? Does Bunny even exist? Olivier is excellent. Noel Coward is over-the-top but in an amusing way. The one weak actor, unfortunately, is Carol Lynley, who plays Bunny's mother. The denoument is thrilling and not quite believable (even the second time around), but I believed it anyway and enjoyed the whole thing.

Worth watching primarily for Olivier and Coward. What a much better movie it would have been if there had been more of them interacting. A true joy to observe such effortless and excellent performances on their part. The two leads, the brother and sister, also displayed effortless acting. No amount of effort would have worked for them, I'm afraid. Allegedly, Noel Coward didn't think much of Dullea as an actor. Reportedly he walked up to him on the set one day and whispered in his ear, "Keir Dullea, gone tomorrow."
The build up of the story was good, the ending fell flat.
Very good cinematography.

Typical of the genre. (Thank God that era is over... : )
Of course the acting is good, but the writing & characters are absurd to say the least.
Doesn't take place on planet earth. e.g. "Children of the Corn" LOL

How excited was i to find this gem! I'd never heard of it, nor had i heard of the director (Otto Preminger) which i am ashamed to admit! This movie was absolutely wonderful. It's offbeat creepiness is brilliant up to the very end. Like film noir and suspense with a bit of creepiness filling the gaps? Don't miss this one!

One of those movies that you love, even though the ending is a mess.

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. Not too bad---good performance. I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.
