Loveday Cardew prefers books to people. If someone looks carefully, they might glimpse the first lines of the novels she loves most tattooed on her skin. But there are some things Loveday will never, ever show anyone. Into her hiding place, the bookstore where she works, come a poet, a lover, and three suspicious deliveries. Someone has found out about her mysterious past. Will Loveday survive her own heartbreaking secrets?
This was a book I enjoyed listening to while in the car. The narrator had a very nice voice and accent. The plot of the book is about a young woman who has had a tough start in life. She luckily works at this wonderful bookshop owned by a supportive, fatherly owner. Through an anonymous book donation she finds a recipe book from her youth, which starts her on a quest to answer the unanswered. I recommend it.
