For some reason I liked this one better than the original.

Too much time with the humans, too many bathroom jokes, and some very bad racial stereotypes. It's like this movie was made for college fratboys... which I guess is fitting, considering where Sam is going in the movie.

If you take away all this film's visual effects you are left with nothing but a heap of rubbish. This film is not even good escapism.

Compared to the first movie, the action was much better in this Transformers title. The fight in the forest between Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, and the chopper transformer (don’t know the name) was easily one of the best of all four titles that are currently out. It kept me on edge and I was very engaged during the fight. Just like the other titles, there was a lot of explosions (classic Michael Bay!) and the animations were incredible. The action that was almost absent in the first movie was finally present in this one. It was also somewhat unexpected as the main autobot, Optimus, dies in the middle of the movie. 3/5

I think I liked this one better than the first one. I found some of the humour a bit tasteless, and definitely not a deep, beautiful storyline with tons of effort put into character development or anything. But if you're like me and enjoy watching amazing special effects and robots beat each other up, fantastic movie with amazing settings.

This noisy, incomprehensible robot fight compares poorly with the first "Transformers" (2007, a fun movie which built characters well into a dramatic arc). This second movie, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" (2009), has outstanding special effects, meticulously-filmed locations, and handsome actors (ever-watchable Shia LaBeouf and voluptuous Megan Fox) which are unfortunately wasted on a muddled plot and pumped up over-the-top, on steroids. The unrelenting series of incredibly-complicated action sequences blow away the precious few moments of character development. Scattered humor helped us keep watching (but some character stereotypes, and humping portrayed by two dogs and later by a bot, were in poor taste). The film was worth watching to see the actors survive spectacular demolition of Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, decapitation of Egypt's pyramids at Giza, destruction of Luxor, and defacement of Jordon's ancient cut-rock architecture at Petra. Epic cinematographic beautifully captured the sweeping desert vistas and remarkable rock monuments of Jordan's Wadi Rum; but this was wasted amid bloated action sequences that lost track of character development. Instead, experience the true glory of Wadi Rum in director David Lean's stunning "Lawrence of Arabia" (1962), a top-ten must-see film.

After seeing the first movie, my expectations were super low, so I thought this one wasn’t too bad. I basically fast forwarded all scenes with Shia LaBeouf (kinda like a Jar-Jar) and it was an entertaining movie.

Complete garbage. A hot mess. Probably the worst widely released movie I have ever seen. Gaping plot holes magically fixed with whatever new skills/traits they need at the time, acting and comedy bits so broad you could drive Optimus Prime on them, and action sequences that lose any meaning because of the (when needed) seeming invincibility of humans and transformers alike and implausible actions of all.

I beg you to avoid this garbage. Even if you are teenager and have been told it's GOOD to "shut off your mind" to enjoy a movie, don't do it. You don't have to be dumb just because you are inexperienced. There are MUCH better choices out there.

Sam Witwicky: Bee, if you hate me I understand. I messed up. I'm sorry.

Bumblebee: [through his radio] "You are the person I care for most in my life, and if there is anything you need I won't be far away."

Hold on, hold on, I know you're pissed, I know you're pissed, because I tried to kill you. I totally understand. If someone tried to kill me, I'd be unhappy too. I think that we have an opportunity here to start anew, and develop our relationship, and see where it leads us...ok?
