Add a CommentGreg was best when playing with Duane, Butch Trucks and Dickey Betts. Eat a Peach may be the finest Southern Rock album ever cut. This isnt EaP, but if you are going on a long drive or spending the day working in your garage, you should play this a few times and relax to T-Bone working his magic
I strongly believe Gregg Allman's best work has come not as a solo artist but in his role as a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band. But this solo album from 2011 is absolutely fantastic -- perhaps the best solo record of his career. His voice, for one thing, is just absolutely perfect. The songs, with one exception, are not originals; Allman is covering some old but somewhat overlooked blues standards here. GREAT album.
