Alexander in class A spills paint on Perlmutterfarbe and on a book he borrowed from Karli in class B. He throws them into the fireplace to conceal his mistake. The disappearance of Perlmutterfarbe results in a battle between two competing classes and Alexander aids Gruber's ambition to become a leader of class A by accusing the members of class B as thieves.
