A diet horror flick at best. This movie is fairly average and the star rating is more about Vince Vaughn showing up along with the production quality, sorry other characters. Speaking of other actors... It's a character driven movie using the arguably simpler and less refined slasher horror genre to try and flesh out the heroine and her friends quickly while still having us care. Like I want to buy into this film for doing something more unique with it's final girl take and evolving it, but I'm just not for some reason. Everything transpires very quickly. Character development is perceived to happen over time... so show that over a longer perception of it... give the lead better stakes with that investment. It isn't perceived here to be plausible in my opinion. It's riffing on slasher horror movies, so being way more clever is needed to escape its cultural inertia of picking low hanging fruit and not subverting expectations (and there are exceptions that have accomplished it). It's entertaining, sure, just not exceptional.

SOOOOOO very boring. This movie should never have been made. It was not funny, it was not scary and far from original. It's full of cliches, the gay pal, the mean jocks, the shy girl whose father has passed away so the mom drinks. AND rehashes the body switch theme in a not clever way at all. Previous body switch movies are funny and enjoyable. I thought adding in a serial killer would make this movie a hit. I was so bored I fast forwarded through a lot of it. I read this was supposed to be a kick start to Vince Vaughn's career. He should have held out for a better script. The premise was good, lacked on the execution. Don't waste your time.

CLI-CLI-CLI-CLIIII-...CHE-CHE-CHE-CHEEEE.... or
WHAT DID SCI FI ORIGINALS EVER DO TO VINCE VAUGHN?
It was garbage, and everyone involved should be ashamed for having been in it. It took the diminishing petrochemical resources to make a disc, package & ship, ALL AFTER the actual film shoot...
The Sierra Club considered legal action this is so trash. Greenpeace debated a blockade, PETA feared backlash against defenseless pets because this is so [expletive deleted] useless... Twitter would have blocked it's page if it had one, MySpace looked back warmly when it was known as a hunting ground for serial killers rather than have any association with this; EVEN WITH THE LEAD BEING A SERIAL KILLER.
But they had fun, so watch it I guess... at least you'll know what to avoid in the future.

A teen horror oriented movie with an interesting body switching twist. Done by the same people that did happy death day 1& 2. Unfortunately it is not at the same level as previous movies but still enjoyable to watch.

A great premise (Freaky Friday meets Friday the 13th) and a great choice in actors (Vince Vaughn, mostly playing the young girl trapped in a giant body) with an OK execution. A good "leave-your-brain-at-the-door" movie.

NOTE: the violence is not comedic but slasher-movie style.

I appreciate the twist in the whole switching bodies thing but the movie ended up being a bit of a snooze fest for me. I can't really hang with the teen humor and lingo nor can I really get behind a movie that doesn't explain the background of its main characters.
