"Kate Appleton needs a job. Her husband has left her, she's been fired from her position as a magazine editor, and the only place she wants to go is to her parents' summer house, The Nutshell, in Keene's Harbor, Michigan. Kate's plan is to turn The Nutshell into a Bed and Breakfast. Problem is, she needs cash, and the only job she can land is less than savory. Matt Culhane wants Kate to spy on his brewery employees. Someone has been sabotaging his company, and Kate is just new enough in town that she can insert herself into Culhane's business and snoop around for him. If Kate finds the culprit, Matt will pay her a $20,000 bonus. Needless to say, Kate is highly motivated. But several problems present themselves. Kate despises beer. No one seems to trust her. And she is falling hard for her boss. Can these two smoke out a saboteur, save Kate's family home, and keep a killer from closing in...all while resisting their undeniable attraction to one another? Filled with humor, heart, and loveable characters, Love in a Nutshell is delicious fun"--

A quick funny read. I started this on audio book while at the gym, and had a little trouble keeping all the characters straight by chapter three. I switched to physical book and finished within a few days. I really liked the two main characters, especially the main female for her spunk. I also enjoyed the secondary characters. They start out a little as expected and flat, but there is more than enough room for the authors to go back and give each their own story.

I was disappointed in the ending. The bad guy is caught, and the main character receives the resources to fix her house, but we don't know if she does, or how she goes about it. We also don't know where the main character's relationship is except they love each other, and seem committed to a long term relationship-enough though we don't get that in actual words. One more chapter from a few years down the road to show how all the issues are resolved would have made this book much more satisfactory.

Very good read. I think that she should have a follow up to this book to let us know what other ventures Kate and Matt get into.

I really enjoyed this book. Good characters that you related too. A little bit of mystery. Very interesting situation going on, well developed setting. I liked that the sexuality was there, but wasn't in your face, detailed description.

I adore chick lit, and this definitely fit the bill. I liked the brewery setting (I actually learned a little about beer-making from reading this!) and liked how the author(s) tried to tie in a little mystery. Very cute summer read.
