Surprised by the low ratings. I read his second book before this one (which is his debut novel) and its looking like he is going to be in my top 10 authors! Found the twists very interesting and the characters very engaging. From right at the start the book held my attention and I was looking forward to finding more reading time in my day. Ending was wrapped up very nicely.

Pretty good book, although difficult to believe they weren't identified by the citizenry sooner. Standard ending, although the two law enforcement characters, the male cop from the state crime bureau and the FBI female cop, were written as insipid, shallow and somewhat non-comprehending or oblivious to their surrounding society. [Most definitely identified with the criminals in this story!]

I loved the book- fast page-turner with good character development and a decent story-line. I found myself rooting ONLY for the college graduates (the criminals). The way the author described the cops and FBI made them appear annoying.
The ending was disappointing. But the entire book leading up to the end was amazing. Looking forward to reading more of this author's books!

I loved this book and predict an exciting career for its author.

This is a debut book and if so, I predict great things ahead for this author. The premise is interesting and somewhat sad in this current economy, READER BEWARE-out of work recent college graduates resort to kidnapping. What's equally interesting is you find yourself, rooting for both sides. This is a great beach book and highly recommended. The author has a second book and looking forward to it !!

This book might appeal to some but to this reader it was a waste of my time.

Hard to know who to root for - the 'bad' guys or the coppers.
Fast paced but not great writing. The ending was contrived and disappointing. I don't get all the hype on this one.

This book is a total page turning and exciting. Although if you like criminals who are truly professional then you'll be disappointed by this book. Now when I say professional I mean someone who's selfish, cold-blooded, ruthless, intelligent, thinks 10 steps ahead. Someone who will do whatever it takes to survive or to live in paradise. Even if that means killing a local cop, FED, or even your girlfriend. Dropping everything and leaving the country. This book may be title "The Professionals", but they honestly really aren't. Ending was disappointing and sucky and most the characters pissed me off most of the time, because they were the opposite of professional, emotional, and weak.

starts out with an interesting premise ::4 recent college grads cannot find aplace in the current employment market The plot deteriiorates from there. As a police procedural,it's a disaster.I see the library is planning to buy more copies Don't waste your money!
