This was hard to put down! A good read.

Great idea! Great cause! Quite well executed. I'd love to know how it was done. Was the outline done in some kind of meeting and the authors went off to write their own chapters? Was the first chapter based on the intro., and then passed onto the chapter two writer, and so on? So many questions.
In the end, I quite enjoyed the end result.

This is a mystery novel that the proceeds are going to cancer research and that was the brainchild of Andrew Guilli and his editor sister, Lamia. The idea was to get famous mystery writers to write a chapter each. In the introduction, David Baldacci says that it is hard because mystery writers are secretive, paranoid and boring people.
Even though they got 26 writers to do it. including Jeffrey Deaver, Faye Kellerman, John Lescroat, and T.Jefferson Parker to do it, it didn't come out as well as I thought that it would.
It does have many twists and turns and Baldacci's intro is excellent, I might have liked it even more if I had read more of different authors other books, to help me recognize their styles. But it is a good read with a couple twists and surprises at the end.
