It is Freddy's first day of work at the UNEEDA Medical Supply warehouse. John Russo, who did in fact write a sequel to George A. Romero's " night of the living dead" in novel form with the title of "The return of the living dead," Did not contribute to this screen play IN ANY REAL WAY. Although he did get a fat check for having that title on a novel. This is Sir Saint Dan O'Bannon's picture from head to heels, he even handpicked the music. (John Russo DID contribute to the script for NIGHT of the living dead, and the 30th Anniversary edition of "Night" will give you a good idea of how far the rift twixt him and Romero is ... They got Sir John Hinzman to reprise his role as "Cemetery Zombie" and it's crazy obvious, and I'd've rather had Judith O'dea as one of the Waitresses from Beekman's diner, but it's still pretty phenomenal for anyone obsessed with zombie movies.Yeah and the "sequel" to "Night" proffered to us by Russo is... I don't want to say it's a terrible novel, given my love of alll things (mostly) Zombie, it feels a bit like looking at purple and calling it green, but yeah, it's terrible. Of course my copy is missing the first twenty pages, but for me it was the forced parallels that just... ruined it for me. With that said and my obvious lack of intelligence evident, take it with a grain of salt.) So in closing, it was a medical supply warehouse, Sir Saint Dan O'Bannon wrote it, John Russo beats dead horses and finally I first saw this movie when I was 5 years old, and it is still my all time favorite.
