SUMMARY: This is a wordless book of the ABCs found out in the real world. A park bench might be in the shape of a C and a plant is found in the shape of a P.

ILLUSTRATIONS:The book was created through photography of items found outside. The author is a professional photographer.

THE GOOD: I found this book to be highly creative. It was a wonderful way to portray how the ABCs are all around us. The book fosters creativity and imagination. This is perfect book to read before going on your own ABC hunt. And if you really want to step it up, bring a digital camera and take pictures of the letters you find. Then print them out to make your own collage or booklet. There is a description of what each item is at the back of the book.
THE NOT AS GOOD: This book is too abstract for the advertised age range. Kids who are first learning their alphabet may not see the letters as easily. Even I thought a few of the pictures were stretching it a bit.

AGE RECOMMENDATION: This book would be best for grades K-1 or an advanced preschooler.

NOTE: I received a free preview copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a an honest review. My reviews are always 100% honest based on preset criteria.
