" I have to practice my 'No, no leaves me alone' face otherwise everyone will want to bes with me ALLS the time." - Cliff
Violence: A royal challenge near the end of the book includes lots of blood and fighting, also neck-snapping, killing of one dragon :( Please be ok with this!
Peril the SkyWing is probably the most dangerous dragon in Pyrrhia, because of her firescales. But when she meets a SeaWing, Turtle, and his friends, she learns that she is part of their winglet! But not all of them trust her. They go on a mission to find the evil queen, Queen Scarlet, who might be even more dangerous than Peril! But when she finds her father, and he insists on putting an enchantment on her that would take away her firescales (as he is an animus), she agrees. She's always wanted to find out what it would be like to not burn everything she touched. But after the enchantment is in place, Peril begins to feel more and more loyal to Queen Scarlet, the dragon her and her friends were out to stop! She follows the queen's every command. Is this enchantment actually only to take away her firescales...or not?
In this book, it is mainly about Peril, a Skywing with firescale. She always makes her tribe scared and wanting to run away. After she met her father, he completely changed Peril into a normal dragon but she became loyal to Queen Scarlet and always help her to do stuff. After Peril realized there was an enchantment, she finally realized the truth. One of the main thing that happened is that Queen Ruby killed Queen Scarlet and finally realized that she was a different dragon but she wanted to change back to Ruby. I like that we can look at Peril's view.

I honestly DONāt LIKE peril sorry! But I just DONāt she is quite annoying/weird in the first book in ways. That YOU MUST KNOW
who wonders why that boy was following peril he might have a chrush on her
The eighth book in an excellent series exciting emotional and constenly entertaining. The book follows peril as she trys to decide between her new life and her old one, running from her history or embracing it , and whether shes worth either option. fast-passed and hilarious, this is a book sure to raise your standards.
Peril has always been in my heart so this was amazing to see her pov! It's the first and only SkyWing pov (so far) and hoping for more! This book is 100% one of my favourites.
(PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU DON'T LIKE SPOILERS)
I LOVED this book! I'm so glad I bought it so I can read it again and again! Its full of adventure, mystery, betrayal and a bit of love...
Anyway, defiantly read this book! I freaked out when I read that Glory died but I was so relived when I realized it was a trick.
Amazing book! It is very clever how Tui twists the expected storyline you would find in any other series. It is one of the only book series I positively enjoy reading! I read a lot of books so I often find myself guessing what will happen next and it ruins the book. But this is written in a whole new way, making it the best series I know!
This is a good book, the ending is a cliff-hangar AGAIN (which is aggravating and thought-provoking for me all at the same time). It made me extremely exited for the next book!

One of my favourite books! and ruby-tougumite (I might spell it wrong) killed scarlet, Nice!
I love this book, and I feel so sorry for Peril because everyone detests her, but on the inside, she's really a normal dragonet, just like them, who wants to be treated normally, even sometimes she doesn't want to have her flamescales. If I were a dragon, I would definitely treat her better than anyone had so far, except for Clay. He's just nice to everyone though, so I wouldn't worry. And I also pity Peril, because the only dragon or thing she can touch without burning up and killing is Clay. Definitely one of the best books in the series besides "The Lost Heir!"
