I definitely enjoyed this film. There are a handful of things I just couldn't swallow in this film (SPOILER ALERT: math professor turned psychopath is somehow an amazingly trained krav maga-style fighter? in Dubai he can outrun Hunt but in Mumbai he can't?), but otherwise, it was fun Mission Impossible action. I loved how they made a little fun of the tech and it failing (MI2 had so many masks!) - but they still used a little too much of it for me. Overall, I had a lot of fun rewatching this! The good definitely outweighed the bad.
Directed by Brad Bird in 2011 as the 4th installation of the series, this American action-spy drama delves into the mission of IMF agent Ethan Hunt.
It appears like a big-budget popcorn entertainment with lots of amusing and amazing gadgets, turns and twists as well as some silly, unbelievable and laughable actions.
In any case, I enjoyed it as an entertaining piece with a willing suspension of disbelief.
I went into this without too much expectation, as I didn't like the first Mission Impossible movie and hadn't seen 2 or 3 in the series, but I was pleasantly surprised by Ghost Protocol. Lots of great action, likeable characters, high stakes and some AMAZING stunts. Seriously, that scene with the Burj Khalifa in Dubai looked awesome! I'm excited to keep going with Rogue Nation.
After seeing the most recent MI flick at the theater this summer I felt it was time to re watch Ghost Protocol. GP set the standard for amazing stunts done by an actor. It still makes me queezy to watch the scene outside the Dubai Hotel. Interesting plot and well written script (especially the document/diamond scene). The movie is worth watching a 2nd time which I rarely do for any DVD! If you're feeling like you need a bit of action and intrigue pick up this copy from the library. A perfect summer pleasure.

It was a little drawn out until any action happened. Tom looks like he's getting a little 'long in the tooth' for any more of these films... It was still okay, I just liked #1 and #3 best.
Great sequel in the franchise, beautiful locales as well.
When mission impossible was on TV it was one of my favorite programs so I have always liked the Tom Cruise movies with the same name. As far as Tom goes he is a good actor with lots of energy. One has to look past his personal life and his beliefs with the cult he belongs to.
My favorite of the series.
Too violent for me. I really don't like Tom Cruise movies.
