Possibly the only drawback to the bestselling How to Be a Woman was that its author, Caitlin Moran, was limited to pretty much one subject: being a woman. Moranthology is proof that Caitlin can actually be "quite chatty" about many other things, including cultural, social, and political issues that are usually the province of learned professors or hot-shot wonks--and not of a woman who once, as an experiment, put a wasp in a jar and got it stoned. Caitlin ruminates on--and sometimes interviews--subjects as varied as caffeine, Keith Richards, Ghostbusters, Twitter, transsexuals, the welfare state, the royal wedding, Lady Gaga, and her own mortality, to name just a few.--P. Witty, intelligent, compelling. I can never resist an author who makes me laugh out loud. I'm in love with Caitlyn Moran. Minor copyediting and grammatical errors (e.g. "bare" substituted for "bear" throughout) don't mar the book's charm.

I love Caitlin Moran's nutty sense of humor. And in addition to being really funny, she has a way of making some pretty interesting points about our society. BUT those articles about the midnight 'conversations' with her long-suffering husband just killed me. I laughed til tears came! She's great. Hope she does another book.

Gah! as funny as her previous book. Revelations in this one included getting tanked with the golden boy of Downton Abbey, and some trips to the set of Doctor Who. If you want funny with a soupcon of geekery, Moran is your go-to girl.
