There are a few diets in this book that might be interesting to try. However, these diets aren't backed up with findings. I agree that this book seems like a big sales pitch or a "fad diet". This book has a pretty "spiritual" section also, which I wouldn't consider to be science. I wouldn't consider this an appropriately researched book. There is some good information in this book but it is hardly backed up with research so it is difficult to believe.

More than half the book seemed like a sale pitch. Very few references cited for all the scientific/medical information.
A few kernels of good information, like everyone would benefit from a carb./fat/protein balanced diet (like diabetics use) plus regular exercise and stress-relief.
