Disappointing season. The writing was below par. Stories were a waste of time.

Must have changed writers because not as good as seasons 1 and 2. Characters' behavior gets more bizarre. People are going to think Minneapolis is full of weirdos. But it starts to get back on track near the end and, as usual, she leaves you wanting more at the end of the season. What will Cathy do next? More graphic sexual content in this season.

I checked this out and was dismayed to discover it is not "close captioned" which makes it difficult for me to enjoy since I have a slight hearing loss.

visual good, but funny jokes are harder to find when this professional actress gets motivated. Don't you think? :0) she does it good!

Perhaps I overdid it by watching an entire season in one day. It was too much. Every single character is so self-absorbed that she or he cannot see what is happening to the people around. The only one who does see others some of the time, and actually interacts with them in thoughful ways, is Andrea. As the season progressed, I found the plot (plots?) less and less believable, and the characters less and less likable. I'm skipping season 4.

Cathy Jamison gets some very good news at the start of the third season of The Big C. Cathy's experimental treatments have worked and her cancer is in remission. Paul begins a blog detailing his life and his brush with death. Cathy and Paul seek out a motivational speaker who encourages Paul to begin his own career as a motivational speaker. Adam gets religion and has personal relationship issues with both of his parents. For his janitorial job Sean gets a phone and a series of wrong numbers dramatically change his career path as well as his sex life. When Cathy and Paul unexpectedly decide to adopt a baby the process goes well until a big deception comes to light. At the end to the third season Cathy, Paul, Adam, Sean and Andrea take a trip to Puerto Rico as part of Paul's motivational speaker tour. In Puerto Rico Cathy gets lost while scuba diving and also gets some exceptionally bad news. The third season is emotionally draining and the ten episodes have more tragedy than comedy.
