Real. That’s what this book is. A coming of age tale of Salinger proportions, Every Exquisite Thing by Matthew Quick (Silver Linings Playbook; Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock) will leave you contemplating what is normal, what is rebellion, and what is the true self. Philosophical, relatable, real, and exceptionally written. Nanette is that high school student who has it all – good grades, athletic skills, and popularity, but she starts to think about her life differently when her teacher introduces her to an out-of-print cult classic. This changes her whole view on life, causing her to forge new friendships, rebel, and to find her true self. But will it all come at too high a cost?
